URU, The Right To Be, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission to foster communication and understanding among diverse racial, social and economic groups about the issues that affect these groups and their communities. URU utilizes social marketing and community mobilization to deliver arts-based programs and media productions that address the social justice, health, culture and economic issues facing America and the global community. URU’s work reflects the organization’s strong belief in and commitment to inclusion, education, quality, enlightenment, enjoyment, civic responsibility and personal growth. Since its inception, URU has touched and inspired audiences in excess of 250,000 people across the United States and enriched the lives of more than 50,000 children.
